Fertility Diet
What to Eat When Trying For a Baby
PART 1
When trying for a baby, what you eat is of vital importance. Ensuring you are getting the right nutrients lays the foundation for a healthy body with healthier eggs, sperm and baby – fact.
In this day and age we are not taught in school what foods are nutrient dense and how they function. Instead, most of us make food choices based on persuasive advertising.
Examples of persuasive advertising
Big industries are often selling nutrient deficient foods as:
- “The best protein source” (especially for runners) or;
- “The best iron source” (with fortified iron in their cereal) or;
- The biggest farce of all “milk for calcium” which is one of the biggest cons of our lifetime. (Read more via our sister site I’m Sublime)
If what I have said has touched a nerve, please look into this yourself or contact me and I will happily shed some research based light on the situation.
Nutrient dense foods give you energy
To fall pregnant it requires lots of energy.

My wife and i found this so helpful, thanks
This article was published the same day we bought your fertility recipe ebook – thanks for sharing this content and thanks for the enormous effort that has gone into the recipes, it has been incredibly helpful. (Especially as I dont have much time to cook but want to make sure I can EAT MYSELF FERTILE) :D
Looking forward to your Fertility Recipe Book arriving in the post! This is so useful! I need as much help as possible to curb cravings and keep “eating for fertility!”
Nutrition is such a full on topic. It was not until I read this post and did some nutrition counselling with your Fertile Lifestyle programme that it all fell into place and seems so easy now. To be honest, I felt daunted and overwhelmed before.
Thanks for the clarity!
You cleared up quite a bit of confusion I had around this topic.
I got your HUGE recipe eBook and this has been a GodSend.
Can’t recommend you and your work enough Fiona.
You are welcome Leonie, glad to be of service!
This is my favourite fertility “help” article. I have found it so useful. I have just ordered my Fertility Recipes via this link (thanks!) https://awakeningfertility.com/af-shop/#ebooks
Thank you, Fiona ;)
Nice and helpful article.
And this recipe book sounds interesting too.
I’ll ask you next time I meet you about it.
Thanks.
