why not to drink tap water when TTC or pregnantStudies Show Tap Water Harms Egg Health and Harms Babies, Even When Pregnant

Whether you are trying to conceive (TTC) or you are pregnant or you have been graced with a beautiful baby, you want to give your baby the best start in life. In doing so, you want to minimise:

  • Your chances of miscarrying
  • Your child being pre-disposed to illness or deformities

Nowadays we live in a toxic world, a world laden with more chemicals than our grandparents could ever imagine and we think this is “normal.” We think society is so advanced because we look at our technological advances and look at our growing life expectancies. However, what people are overlooking is our quality of life.

  • We are more stressed than ever
  • We have a “fertility-issue” epidemic
  • We have more incidences of cancer
  • We have more incidences of heart disease
  • We have more incidences of diabetes

Think about it. You were born a natural human being who requires natural food and clean drinking water. However in today’s fast-paced life we get pre-packaged chemically grown and processed foods as well as recycled toilet water as drinking water. Our tap water is filled with hormones, people’s medications, toxins and chlorine… And you wonder why your hormones are out of balance!

Do your own research and look at the link between chlorine and cancer as well as other health issues

You don’t have to take my word for it, read these published articles from a ‘credible mainstream source’ to see for yourself.

Daily Mail article: Does Tap Water Harm Babies?

This article goes into the effects of chlorine and more. “Government experts said research suggests chlorine by-products may harm the developing baby in the womb.”

Daily Mail article: Do You Really Know What’s In Your Tap Water?

Most of us don’t. You can pay to get your water tested, or you can enjoy the benefits of a distiller or a water purifier that keeps the water alive and energised, (all explained below).

Daily Mail Article: Chlorine in tap water ‘nearly doubles the risk of birth defects’

“Pregnant women living in areas where tap water is heavily disinfected with chlorine nearly double their risk of having children with:

  • Heart problems;
  • A cleft palate or;
  • Major brain defects

Please note a Brita filter is not enough, it only filters out chlorine, not the hormones, chemicals and toxins.

Many people say “I boil my Brita filtered water, is that enough?”

No.

See for yourself:

Here is a picture I took of the remnants left in my distiller after

  1. Pouring London tap water into a Brita filter
  2. Pouring the filtered water in the kettle and bringing it to boil
  3. Adding this filtered, boiled water to the distiller. Distiller after Brita and Boiled water

Look at this photo to see what was left after a single use in the distiller.

The article in the Daily Mail says: “We take the safety of our water for granted, but accidents occur every year in which water unfit for human consumption is supplied to thousands of households. Concerns have been raised about pesticides and gender-bending chemicals in the water supply, and traces of hundreds of substances can be found in tap water.”

What Distillers Do

Distillers keep the residue aside and completely take everything out of the water so you can be assured you won’t be consuming radiation fluoride, chlorine, (anything at all).

You still get radiation in spring water because it is in the air we breathe ever since we started letting off nuclear bombs

I have photographed the muck that my distiller removes from London tap water and am so happy not to be drinking this anymore:

Water Distillers – Pros and Cons

The best news, distillers offer a way you can enjoy affordable healthier drinking water so you can optimise your health and your (future) baby’s health.

  • The pros of using a waster distiller is that it is cost effective.
  • The cons of using a water distiller is that you need to remove the acidity and add minerals to it, which changes the taste and discolours the water. (Keep reading below about the best quality Fulvic Minerals from the Powerfully Pure range.)
    • Due to the cons, I personally use a distiller for cooking water and a Kangen water purifier for drinking water. Feel free to get in touch for more researched information about the best water purifiers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are so many on the market, so make sure you source one that has a non-toxic metal distiller that pours distilled water into a glass jug (not plastic).

Why You Need to Add Fulvic Minerals to Distilled Water

I recommend you add fulvic minerals to the water because the distiller strips everything: good minerals and bad toxins. This leaves the water in a state called “juvenile water” meaning it will suck minerals out of your body when you drink it. This is a great way to detox (for two weeks or if you have a particular ailment you want to remedy) but I’d prefer you start adding fulvics after the first two weeks of drinking distilled water.

In addition, if you don’t add fulvic minerals the water will be too acidic. The Powerfully Pure fulvic minerals are 100% natural, vegan, non-GMO and very high quality. The 50mL dropper lasts 50 days per person – you only need 7 drops a day for only £34.90.

You can add a dash of organic apple cider vinegar (ACV) ‘with the mother’ per 4ltr jug to soften the water, take the mineral taste of the fulvics away and make the water more alkaline as well as improve digestive health and fat burn capabilities.

Let’s drink to your good health and happiness!
