Fertility For Today

Why is falling pregnant so hard in modern times?

Worried about fertility
21st century fertility issues can be attributed to:
  • Chemicals in food
  • Toxic build up from household products
  • Chemical preservatives in skin care products
  • Chemicals in ‘dirty’ technology, e.g. mobile phones, smell of new electronic devices, etc
  • Lack of nutrients
  • Lack of sleep
  • Lack of deep relaxation

Are the odds against women today?

In many cases it seems the odds are against women in today’s fast-paced lifestyle but once a combination of mind and body detox methods are employed the effects can be reversed and women find themselves giving birth to happy, healthy babies.

Suffering from Sub-fertility?

Sub-fertility is a major issue – so you are not alone.

Statistically one in three women struggle to fall pregnant naturally in the Western world. As well as detoxing the mind you can boost fertility with these simple steps that can leave you feeling re-balanced, rejuvenated and stress free.

Fertility Exercises

Do fun exercises that offer targeted results.  One to one fertility yoga which has been specifically designed to massage the organs of your productive system as well as balance your central nervous system and immune system.

How Stress Affects Fertility

Stress activates the sympathetic nervous system this means blood flows to your extremities and away from your digestive system constituting the flight or flight mode.  So taking time to sit, breathe deep and clear your mind for a few minutes a day and help restore blood flow to your digestive and reproductive systems.

I suggest taking a natural candle (made from soy or bees wax, others let off toxic fumes).  Light the candle and gaze at it through half closed eyes, peering through your eyelashes.

Keep focusing on the flame because your goal is to close the eyes and still maintain an image of the flame with your eyes closed.  The flame will help to burn thoughts away, helping you to remain present with your breath.

Meditation Affects Fertility

Learn the easiest way to meditate, ever!

Candle Gazing Fertility Meditation

Learn to meditate (here) and therefore manage stress and enhance fertility.  Being calm can often lead to a more relaxed state of mind and therefore your body is more receptive.

You can apply a mantra to the Candle Gazing Fertility Meditation such as Gaia (guy-ah) meaning Mother Earth or Quan Yin (Kwan Yin) calling in the Goddess of Fertility.

Do not repeat this mantra to the rhythm of the breath, after your seven rounds of breaths use the mantra whenever thoughts enter your mind so you can keep your focus on the image of the candle flame.

Meditation means one-pointed focus; being able to concentrate on one thing.  It is very simple and very effective.

Only use natural bees wax or soy candles (that do not emit black smoke) and only use 100% natural organic essential oils to avoid toxicity.  We recommend our Awakening Fertility Candles range

Toxins Affect Fertility

Give your body the break it needs by reducing as many toxins as possible out of your life.

By replacing toxic household cleaning products and bathroom products with natural ones you could double your chance of falling pregnant faster.

As a rough guide, if there are danger signs on your cleaning products or chemical preservatives, sodium laureth sulfates, heavy metals like aluminium in your bathroom products they are best avoided at all costs.

How Alcohol Affects Fertility

Stopping alcohol consumption makes a huge difference on people’s health and vitality especially when it comes to preconception.

Alcohol is a depressant, it lowers the body’s natural energy levels and fertility requires an abundance of life force energy.

It is high in sugar and yeast causing a level of toxicity meaning the liver has to work harder to restore homeostasis to the body.  Sugar also prevents the body from breaking down fat.

How Caffeine Affects Fertility

Research shows that it is okay for men to have caffeine just before having sex as it makes the sperm more virile.  Unfortunately women are advised against it as it is a stimulant and this puts stress on your adrenal glands.

How Dairy Products Affect Fertility

Milk and diary products are high in protein and they inhibit calcium absorption.  The human body is not designed to drink cow’s milk and it has been linked to putting a strain on the body’s immune system and has also been linked to causing cancer.

You do need a sufficient store of calcium to boost fertility but contrary to popular belief milk does not provide calcium, because of the high protein content it actually leaches calcium out of the body.

In addition, milk is genetically modified and all GM foods have been proven to create infertility, they even shrink male testicles!

3 Easy Ways to Get Calcium

Get your calcium fix from:
  1. Leafy green vegetables
  2. Raw spinach and watercress
  3. Lightly steamed broccoli and kale

Processed Foods Affect Fertility

Processed white foods are fertility inhibitors.  Foods that come out of a factory and not fresh from the farm are harder for the body to digest.

Processed foods such as white sugar, salt (with anti-caking agents), bread, grains and rice all put a strain on your body’s digestive system.

Salt Affects Fertility

You need salt in your diet and the safe salt to consume is Celtic Sea Salt (grey in colour).  If you want the benefits that sodium chloride has on the body but do not want to consume salt, then eat celery.

Celery

Celery is also great for your bones which you need to ensure are strong and healthy before falling pregnant because if your baby does not receive the nutrients it needs they will be absorbed from your bone marrow.
