Create Your Best Baby – With Clean Living

Create Your Best Baby – With Clean Living

Did you know Essential Oils can be safe for fertility and pregnancy?

Maybe you have heard they are not?

It all comes down to quality. Essential oils that are 100% organic (meaning they do not have the hormone disrupting chemicals of herbicides, fungicides and pesticides) and that are of the highest grade (therapeutic grade) are pure plant based medicinal oils.

Depositphotos_25288983_s-2015

doTERRA is a safe essential oil to use (and this is explained by Tatyana Tavares) whom I have teamed up with to educate you about ways you can create your best baby through clean living.

Whether you are trying to conceive or trying to hold your pregnancy through to full term this video (first of my free ‘Create Your Best Baby’ mini-series) will teach you how you can use organic, therapeutic grade essential oils safely.

The video I first of all invites you to become aware of the internal and external environment of your cells that will influence your egg health, your womb health, your wellbeing as well as your baby’s wellbeing.

As a fertility specialist for over 10 years now, I see countless clients who come to me with either unexplained infertility or secondary sub-fertility and I have found that through simple ‘clean living’ strategies they are soon on the road to faster fertility success.

You see, our homes are laden with toxic chemicals that were not around during our Grandparent’s days. Standard house-hold cleaning products and personal care products, even our drinking water are saturated in hazardous toxins that lead to unbalanced hormones (they are classified as being Endocrine Disruptors).

You can read more about this topic where I have listed a few articles here.

This episode talks about living toxic-free and making a few changes to your cleaning products to create a cleaner home environment (that is child-friendly and hormone balancing too).

(We understand you are busy, so these videos are kept short and punchy – no longer than 20 minutes.
Still don’t have time to watch the whole video?
Simply scroll down to some of our tips below which are an extension of the video)

How to create a toxic-free home

Natural cleaning products for a child-friendly home that won’t disrupt your hormones

  1. Citrus Oils (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Wild Orange)
  2. Eucalyptus
  3. Malaleuca (Tea-tree)
  4. Vinegar
  5. Bi-carb soda

How it works

Make up a solution of vinegar, filtered water and either citrus, eucalyptus or tea-tree. For stubborn stains you can use oregano and bi-carb soda

Natural mould remover

Clove

Natural and non-toxic limescale remover

Food grade Citric Acid crystals

Hand sanitiser blend + travel companion so you don’t get sick on planes, etc

Combine Colloidal Silver and Gold Blend (here) with Cassia & Cinnamon Essential Oil

To clean and purify the air in the home put these in your diffuser

  • OnGuard – Protective Blend
  • Lemongrass
Our gift to you

We understand how overwhelming this might be to embrace, but do not worry.

Tatyana is willing to offer you a lifetime of complimentary essential oil coaching so you know how to utilise doTERRA essential oils.

I am willing to offer you free step-by-step training on how to embrace clean living for a healthier, happier, easier fertility and pregnancy journey.

Ready to assist conception, deepen bonds of love and ignite sexual intimacy (libido)?

Click the image to download listen via mp3

Or go to my Youtube Channel (here)

This 14.27 minute meditation will help you to connect to your womb, your femininity, your grace, your wisdom and to Mother Nature’s life giving forces. This is easy to do, even for first time or beginner meditators. Created for everyone to enjoy.

Why Surrender to the Moon for Healing

When you surrender to the moon’s healing ‘yin’ energy it can bring you to a place of reflection… To stop looking outwardly and start looking at the answers that are all available inwardly.Gratitude Quote (Oprah)

It is a good time to be grateful for what you have achieved whilst trying to conceive on your fertility journey to motherhood. By stopping and being grateful it gives you the power and ability to make room for more things to be grateful for. Gratitude is the recipe for abundance.

When you are in a state of abundance it means you are able to go with the flow of life and things come easily to you. So, embrace fluidity of mind and body. Move gracefully and with ease as you embrace the water element in your internal and external environment.

How This Womb Blessing Meditation Works

  1. This Womb Blessing meditation has been designed to re-kindle your ability to procreate.
  2. This meditation will allow you to heal, rejuvenate, restore and rebalance the ability to function optimally to help you get pregnant and stay pregnant.
  3. Enjoy a happier, healthier womb, for this is a time to let go of unwanted thoughts, feelings and emotions so you can open and soften and receive all the joy life has to offer.
  4. This meditation may also be used to help ignite your femininity.
Listen Sitting Up

– If you sit up to listen you will deepen the experience (this will keep you in a meditative state)

Listen Lying Down

– If you lie down this will be a relaxation.

Maximise Healing Effects of This Womb Meditation

You can intensify the healing of your womb (and the whole of your endocrine system) by lying down and applying the Powerfully Pure Organic Hemp and Castor Oil Cleanse.

This helps to rebalance:
  • your hormones
  • your menstrual cycle (can help your period to return if you no longer have it)
  • ovulation
  • your adrenal glands (to replenish your body’s batteries!) and give you lots of energy
  • your thyroid
  • your ovarian health (egg health)
  • your womb
  • and detox your liver

All you need to do is apply this special oil and a hot water bottle to your abdomen whilst you listen. Here is a link for more details– www.awakeningfertility.com/castor-oil-kit

How to Increase Feel Good Hormone Serotonin When Trying to Conceive

How to Increase the Feel Good Hormone Serotonin When Trying to Conceive

Jump for Joy

(By Fiona Kacz-Boulton)

Trying to conceive with all the ups and downs you can endure along the way can be a painful and isolating struggle.

Both stress and depression negatively impact your fertility because they create hormone imbalances.

It is like a fast-acting downward spiral that only seems to be made worse when people around you keep announcing their ‘happy news’ that they are pregnant, or; when people keep saying “just don’t worry about it and it will happen,” or; “just relax and be happy.”

These kinds of comments only take your feelings of sadness to a state of heightened anger!

If you are not careful and allow yourself to sink into a state of depression or become riddled with stress, it will further reduce your chances of fertility and parenthood success – creating such a vicious cycle of heartache.

TTC Depression - Im fine

In a desperate attempt to cope, you read about the benefits of meditation. You practice your fertility meditation only to find your mind uncontrollablly chanting the mantras:

“It is so unfair; why me? When will it be my turn? Will I ever have this baby?”

You are tempted to find a “quick fix” and scroll through pages of advice splashed across your computer and smart phone – all thanks to the new man you spend the majority of your time with: Mr Google.

… But he only makes you feel more confused and distraught…

The only quick fix you can find seems to be anti-depressant mood enhances, such as SSRI’s (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) which are not ideal because less that 50% of people find they work. Additionally, you want to be as healthy as possible whilst trying to conceive. Furthermore you want to optimize your egg health and don’t want to self-diagnose or self self-medicate.

Is this you? Do you find yourself here or some place similar?

Do you want to naturally be able to improve your mood whilst trying to conceive?

Then let’s look at new things you can add to your fertile lifestyle to help you begin to feel better.

When you feel better you have more energy and you become resilient: able to cope better when life throws you another disappointing or heart-breaking blow.

The four main feel good hormones to increase naturally are:

  1. Dopamine
  2. Endorphins
  3. Oxytocin
  4. Serotonin

Sexy beauty couple

In a nutshell, there is one thing that helps raise all four of these feel good hormones and that is “passionate sex.”

In addition to lusty love-making I am going to start from the bottom of the list and work my way up over a series of articles to help you maximize your mood-enhancing repertoire from other lifestyle choices.

What is serotonin and why is it good for fertility?

Serotonin is a feel good neurotransmitter it literally helps you to maintain a positive mood. Fertility is triggered by joy, for this reason you want to embrace the amount of serotonin synthetized in your body and brain.

Serotonin Fact ♯1

It’s believed that low serotonin levels are the main contributing factor responsible for the current world-wide depression epidemic.

Serotonin Boosting Foods

Contrary to ‘what seems logical’ foods that contain serotonin do not raise serotonin levels when ingested.

Serotonin Foods

For example; bananas, pineapple, kiwi fruits and tomatoes contain serotonin but eating them does not directly raise your serotonin levels because they do not cross the blood-brain barrier.

Tryptophan Foods

The pre-cursor to Serotonin is an amino acid called tryptophan but again, eating foods high in tryptophan (such as eggs, fish, chicken, turkey, chickpeas, etc.) does not directly raise your serotonin levels either. Again, this is because they do not cross the blood-brain barrier.

When protein and carbohydrates are eaten together not only can your gut not digest it (it can only digest one at a time) but your brain can not get the benefits of tryptophan either.

During her research at MIT, Dr. Judith J. Wurtman, co-author of The Serotonin Power Diet, Wurtman discovered that eating carbohdyrates separately from proteins helps the brain synthesize serotonin. Furthermore, According to Kathleen DesMaisons, Ph.D., author of Potatoes Not Prozac, the potato changes your brain chemistry. She says, “The potato creates an insulin response that affects the movement of the amino acid tryptophan from your blood into your brain. Your body uses tryptophan to make serotonin, the brain chemical that makes you feel mellow and happy. Serotonin also helps you to “just say no” to sweets and other things by putting the brakes on your impulsivity.”

Craving sweets and sugary carbohydrates is the first sign that your dopamine levels have dropped and for women this is commonly triggered by stress.

What is the solution?

These aformentioned doctors believe eating a stand-alone potato can help. It is best to top your potato with turmeric or fermented foods such as kimchi or raw sour kraut as well as good quality virgin cold-pressed organic olive oil. Each one of these ingredients can help increase your serotonin levels.

Other organic foods for boosting serotonin whilst trying to conceive:

  1. Dark chocolate (Caco nibs)
  2. Sweet potatoes
  3. Root vegetables
  4. Fruit
  5. Short grain brown rice
  6. Oatmeal (gluten free oats) – did you know all oats are gluten free and what makes them ‘glutenous’ is the fact they are rolled in flour whilst being processed.

Motivation words You are what you eat, so don't be fast, easy, cheap or fake. Diet, healthy life style concept.Inspirational quote.Home decor wall art. Scandinavian style home interior decoration

Organic supplements that are safe for boosting serotonin whilst trying to conceive:

Curcumin (from turmeric, also helps reduce inflammation)

  • Available in supermarkets and healthfood stores

Kefir (Either water kefir, coconut kefir or raw organic cow’s milk kefir which helps to improve digestive function too)

  • Available in healthfood stores

Digestive Herb Mix – (a chewable blend of fennel seeds, peppermint, liquorice, jaggery, dhania dal, ajwain, whole flax seeds, hari patti, sesame seeds)

  • Available in my shop for £17.99 (100g)

Klammath Blue-green Algae (A slow release energy source with an accumulative effect – meaning it builds up in the body over time and has the cleanest and potent forms of B12 and omegas. It also has the ability to penetrate the blood brain barrier)

  • Available in my shop for £42.00 (130 vegan capsules)

Marine Phytoplankton (An instant release energy source that has the cleanest and richest source of combined B12 and omegas as well as being able to penetrate the blood brain barrier)

  • Available in my shop for £36.00 (130 vegan capsules)

Vitamin D3 (There are different forms of Vitamin D. D3 is best for fertility. Vitamin D3 is best form of the vitamin. Ensure that you also have taken Vitamin A and K to balance the Vitamin D – you will be if you are taking the fertility honey and/or the JuicePlus+ capsules).

  • Available in my shop for £16.99 (60 capsules)

Serotonin Fact ♯2

According to the Scientific American, 95% of serotonin resides in your digestive tract not your brain! (Read more here – https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/gut-second-brain/)

This is why the emphasis on gut health is important (and the consumption of pre and pro-biotics). It has been proven that if you do not have enough ‘good bacteria’ in your digestive tract it can negatively impact your brain health resulting in lowered serotonin levels and causing depression.

Digestive Health

What can upset your good bacteria?

Top 8 intestinal flora destroyers

  1. Antibiotics
  2. Anti-bacterial cleaners and hand soaps/body washes
  3. Artificial sweeteners
  4. Inflammation (which is why I recommend turmeric and JuicePlus+ capsules for they reduce inflammation)
  5. Non-organic food because commercially grown food has been sprayed with: herbicides; fungicides; pesticides which destroy gut health
  6. Sugar
  7. Stress (which inhibits the function of the digestive system)
  8. Tap water (if you only use a Brita filter it won’t get rid of the chlorine which is what destroys the good bacteria). Read more about tap water here

Other lifestyle choices to proven to help enhance serotonin levels:

  • Eat within an hour of waking
  • Sleep between 10:00pm – 6:00am in a pitch black room
  • Exercise for 20 – 30 minutes per day with a raised heart rate
  • Fertility Meditation
  • Fertility Mind-mastery to create the much needed positive mind-set that ‘significantly boosts serotonin levels’ stated Healthline, see article here
  • Fertility Yoga
  • Reduce time using dirty technology (our technology emits electro-magnetic frequencies which disrupt our natural rhythms and are linked to raised cortisol levels)
  • Have lots of passionate sex (as mentioned earlier)
  • Stress management techniques
  • Sunshine (light therapy) is renowned for remedying depression. Research that shows a clear link between light and serotonin was published on PubMed called ‘Bright light exposure during acute tryptophan depletion prevents a lowering of mood in mildly seasonal women.’

Pregnancy Success – How to See your Pregnancy through to Full Term

Did you know your chances of becoming pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy and baby, are better if you and your partner are as fit and healthy as possible?

Happy Couple with Positive Pregnancy Test Results thanks to Fiona: AwakeningFertility

What you eat, how much you exercise, and whether you smoke or drink alcohol are all important factors to look at once you have decided to try for a baby.

Remember it takes three months to produce and then release an egg at ovulation. If you incorporate all of the tips below into your pre-conception care period it can vitally improve egg quality in women as well as sperm quantity and viability in men.

Want to feel wonderful throughout your pregnancy?

You can feel wonderful during your pregnancy if you take good care of yourself. Increase your odds of a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby, by following these sensible steps to keep yourself in top condition:

Nutrition

What you eat during pregnancy will give your developing baby the healthiest possible start in life. A nutritious diet is directly linked to a higher chance of a normal birth-weight, improving fetal brain development and reducing the risk of many birth defects.

A healthy, whole food, nutritious diet will also reduce the risks of pregnancy complications like anemia, and may also minimise morning sickness, fatigue, and other unpleasant pregnancy symptoms. Good nutrition is also thought to help balance mood swings and may improve labour and delivery.

A well-balanced diet to help ensure the health of both mum and baby from pre-conception and throughout the nine months of pregnancy includes:

    • Protein (an easy option is via our medicinal mushrooms in Shield)

Shield superfoods for fertility

    • Vitamin C (an easy option is via one of the only forms of bio-available Vitamin C: Shine)

Shine Superfoods for fertility

  • Calcium – look for whole foods that contain calcium and magnesium (that helps your body absorb calcium) e.g. sesame seeds, spinach, chard, etc.
  • Fruits and vegetables (whole and organic)
  • Whole grains (but not too many)
  • Adequate “good” fats such as coconut oil and cold pressed organic Greek olive oil (as long as you do not cook with olive oil)
  • SuperFoods to keep your energy levels and nutritional intake high. “Revive” and “Glow” are SuperFood blends available from our natural fertility consultants or directly via our online shop, here. These superfoods are packed full of anti-oxidants to keep yourself and your baby in optimal health and vitality.

A simple way to satisfy your nutritional needs during pregnancy is to eat a variety of foods from each of the food groups every day.

Sometimes during pregnancy it is going to be hard to keep food down, or certain foods are going to be unappealing. Pregnancy smoothies are an easy way to get nutrients into your diet. You can add greens, protein, fiber from fruit and vegetables etc. to your smoothies, which will help you to meet your daily nutritional quota.

While most nutrients needed during pregnancy should come from food, prenatal vitamin supplements do play an important role. Folic acid (or betterstill, folate) is a B vitamin that has been found to be a very important supplement for pregnant women.

Folate taken several weeks prior to pregnancy and for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy have been found to lower the risk of having a child with a neural tube defect by approximately 75 percent.

B12, electrolytes and essential trace minerals in the forms of Blue Green Algae and Marine Phytoplankton, have high concentrations of proteins, vitamins and nutrients. They are also available to order from our online shop, here.

Are you worried about pregnancy weight gain?

This is natural, many women are concerned about how much weight they will gain during pregnancy. It’s important to maintain a healthy weight gain. It’s important for you to monitor your weight and nutritional needs throughout the pregnancy. Weight gain recommendations will vary for women who are underweight before conceiving, for those who are obese, and for those with a multiple pregnancy (twins etc.)

What Not to Eat

It is essential to be aware that there are certain foods you should absolutely avoid so as to protect your baby’s health.

  • To protect mum and baby from bacteria or parasitic infection (e.g. Listeriosis), make sure that all milk, cheese, and dairy products are pasteurised. Pasteurised products are very difficult for the liver to break down so do be mindful not to consume too much pasteurised dairy. You don’t “need it” so classify it as a treat.
  • No soft cheeses with a white-mould rind (such as Camembert, Brie etc.) or blue mould veins (such as Gorgonzola, Danish Blue etc.).
  • No raw or undercooked eggs or foods containing raw egg, e.g. mayonnaise.
  • No cured meats, liver or liver products and pates.
  • Fish – no marlin, shark and swordfish, tuna or any canned fish as they contain high levels of mercury, which is harmful to your developing baby’s nervous system.
  • Limit consumption of oily fish such as mackerel, salmon, tuna and sardines to a maximum of 2 -3 times a week
  • If you love your sushi, stick to only the vegetable and not fish based sushi.

Also avoid refrigerated, smoked seafood and undercooked meat, poultry, and raw seafood such as oysters.

Fluids

Drink organic fresh pressed juices and pregnancy smoothies in addition to water.

Drink plenty of fluids — at least eight to 10 glasses of clean spring water a day (not from plastic bottles) — avoiding caffeine, sugary and fizzy drinks and any drink with artificial colouring and flavourings.

As well as tea and coffee, caffeine is also present in cola based fizzy drinks, chocolate, energy drinks and some cough and cold remedies, so read the label.

For information on caffeine-free teas for pregnancy visit our article here.

Exercise

Moderate exercise is not only considered safe for pregnant women, it’s encouraged and thought to benefit both mum and growing baby. Exercising 30 minutes a day is proven to help circulation, strengthen muscles, strengthen bones (if you do our Pregnancy Yoga DVD) and decrease stress.

For the majority of normal pregnancies, exercise can:

  • increase energy levels
  • strengthen muscles and endurance
  • reduce backaches
  • relieve constipation

Aerobic exercises, such as walking, jogging, swimming and QiYoga’s® Pregnancy Yoga DVD can stimulate the heart and lungs and improve circulation, as well as muscle and joint activity, which help to process and utilize oxygen. Walk or jog in cool, shaded areas or indoors in order to prevent overheating.

Hatha Yoga (QiYoga®)

The only type of yoga safe to do during your pregnancy is Hatha Yoga and QiYoga®. Fiona Kacz-Boulton of Awakening Fertility offers individual and group classes, as well as retreats which incorporate QiYoga®. Below is a list of safe and enjoyable yoga exercises, as recommended by Fiona:

    • Pregnancy Yoga Pose: Warrior II

warrior1

    • Pregnancy Yoga Pose: Reverse Warrior

reverse-warrior-pose

    • Pregnancy Yoga Pose: Rainbow Warrior

rainbow_warrier

Pelvic Floor Exercises

The extra weight you carry during pregnancy can see the muscles, ligaments and tissues of your pelvic floor overstretched and weakened. Pelvic floor exercises are simple to do, wherever you are.

It is important that you exercise your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy because they:

  • Strengthen the muscles of your vaginal walls to enable you to push your baby out more effectively.
  • Help prevent the embarrassment of leaking pee.
  • Help give you back a great sex life (eventually!) after childbirth
  • Protect you from incontinence in the longer term.

Fiona at Awakening fertility offers the following simple set of pelvic floor exercises:

    • Tighten the muscles around your back passage and draw them up, as if trying to stop yourself from passing wind. At the same time, tighten the muscles around your front passage and draw them up as if trying to stop passing water.
    • Once you’ve worked out what you’re doing, aim to hold the squeeze for a few seconds, and then relax for a few seconds. Gradually increase these times until you can hold the squeeze for up to ten seconds and repeat ten times.
    • Then try another variation by tightening the pelvic floor muscles quickly and strongly, then relaxing quickly, up to five times.

Meditation

Harley Street Fertility Meditation RetreatsNow that you are pregnant it is more important than ever that you learn the skill of how to meditate. Meditation can help you deal with any fears about the birth (seeing your pregnancy through to full term; having an enjoyable birth; being able to function as a good parent, etc.)

QiYoga offers free meditations, as well as meditation materials to ensure you can actually meditate. If you have tried meditation and it did not work for you, then you have not tried meditation with Fiona Kaczmarczyk (Founder of I’m Sublime, QiYoga and Awakening Fertility).

Creative visualisation

Creative Visualisation is a type of meditation that can be used to change any negative, self-limiting beliefs or fears into positive and empowering outcomes.

Creative visualisation can be used to change the map that your mind has of your body, so you can visualise a healthy body or a healthy baby whenever you get a cold or a greater health risk.

The power of the mind cannot be underestimated. If you want extra help to creatively visualse, to master your mind and overcome any fears during pregnancy, contact Fiona Kacz-Boulton by booking in a 60 minute session via the “Book Now” button, here.

Get adequate sleep

You need to be getting at least eight hours a night. If you’re suffering from sleep disturbances, take naps during the day and see your doctor for advice, if it persists. You can also see our article on how to improve sleep, here.

Cut out the bad habits

Healthy lifestyle choices will directly impact the health of a growing fetus. It’s important to cut out bad habits like smoking and alcohol consumption. These have been linked to serious complications and risks for both mother and baby.

Alcohol

Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is associated with a wide range of problems in the developing baby. Alcohol consumption during pregnancy can also lead to complications including:

  • miscarriage
  • premature labour and delivery
  • low birth weight
  • stillbirth
  • abnormal growth
  • developmental problems in childhood

Smoking

There is plenty of proof that smoking during pregnancy is hazardous. Smoking affects blood flow and oxygen delivery to a baby, thus affecting growth.

Cigarette smoking is the single most common cause of low birth-weight babies, which in turn is the most common cause of death and illness in the first few weeks of life. Smoking is also linked to a wide variety of pregnancy complications, including:

  • vaginal bleeding
  • ectopic pregnancy
  • premature placental detachment
  • premature labour and delivery

Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it can also be stressful. Living a healthy lifestyle, through maintaining a healthy, balanced diet and keeping yourself mentally and physically fit and active, will make your pregnancy as enjoyable as possible for both you and baby. A balanced and healthy routine will ensure you are at your fittest for the stamina required for child birth!

Enjoy this unique and beautiful time.

Living a Fertile Lifestyle: Evening Daily Routine Checklist

Living a Fertile Lifestyle

Evening Daily Routine Checklist

The Fertile Lifestyle Nightly Routine

May your evening routine allow you to let go of the “wanting and yearning” for a baby, may it bring you peace in the knowing you can surrender and allow fertility to blossom like a flower within you.

If you feel it sounds easier said than done, then try these strategies for yourself and reap the immediate benefits.

Winding Down in the Evening

In this day and age you have probably become addicted to your electronic gadgets – ranging from TVs, to computers, tablets and phones. However, by looking at these screens before bed it keeps your mind “wired.” This is due to the blue, flickering light images that tell the brain it is daytime and time to be active.

To help wind the mind down, it is recommended you wear orange lensed glasses three hours prior to sleep. In doing so it will give your mind the ability to switch off when your head hits the pillow.

How to Set Your Bedroom Up as a Restorative Sleep Cave

First, ensure no light whatsoever is on in the bedroom

This includes:

  • No digital face clocksBlock Out Light in Bedroom
  • No small red or green lights that show a power source is being supplied to an
    electrical appliance in your room

This means no charging devices like phones and tablets or even electrical toothbrushes if they illuminate your bedroom when sleeping

  • Ensure your windows are completely blacked out (as illustrated to the right) because our skin is photosensitive.
  • Whilst waiting to fit a blackout blind, an eye mask can help marginally.

The Way to Parenthood When Falling Asleep

When you are drifting off to sleep remember to:
  1. Disconnect from mental, emotional or physical distractions, simply by commanding “I disconnect” and visualise the cords being severed
  2. Open and soften your heart and allow the heart energy to move to your womb then up into your face
  3. Remind yourself of what you can offer your unborn child – the depth of your being. (So the more you open and soften into this state the easier it will be for you to action this when baby comes)
